Skippering 'Davy' on Puget Sound P.O.L. Hobbies: Sailing

I've had two sailboats now. My first was a 19 foot Lightning. This is the boat you see in my book, Davy's Dream. My lightning was a terrific day sailor, fast, and great for overnight trips because, with its retractable centerboard, I could beach it anywhere for the night. But what it didn't have was a head (toilet)! So, eventually I got something bigger and more comfortable. My second boat, christened ‚“Davy‚” after the character in the book, was a 24 foot San Juan. Thanks to the warm cabin (and toilet), I cruised all over the Pacific Northwest in this boat for many years quite comfortably.
