My brother David and I at Lolo pass, Montana P.O.L. Hobbies: Motorcycling

Recently I reached my mid-forties. This made me very happy. Now I could officially call myself “middle aged”. Why was I happy to be middle aged? So I could have a mid-life crisis! When you’re having a mid-life crisis you can do all sorts of fun things that you wouldn’t dare do when you were younger and more practical. And no one even notices. (If they do they just say, “Oh, he’s just having a mid-life crisis”.) That’s why my brother David and I bought motorcycles two years ago and rode to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. Last summer we rode the Oregon and Washington coasts. I wonder if anyone noticed? If they didn't, here's photographic proof!

At the cheese factory in Tillamook, Oregon

Inexplicably, while riding through Tillamook, Oregon, David had a strong urge to eat some cheese.

Lucky for him there just happened to be a factory there that made the stuff.
That's me overlooking six mile wide Crater Lake.

An other-worldly place!
